I tried to photograph the nail color, Yes I Can Can..but my camera just wouldn't capture it right.

ATL Haulage

Last week I went to go visit my Jason in ATL. I knew I wanted to do some shopping, but a whole lot since I was carrying on my luggage lol. No way I was paying those damn checked bag fees.

I got two pairs of slippers from Target both on clearance. I love slippers! I bring them with me every time I stay in a hotel so my feet don't have to touch those gross hotel carpets lol.

Jason also got me the book Charlie St. Cloud since I wanted to see it. I still haven't seen it, but I think the book will suffice for now. Books are usually better than the movies anyway.

I got these cute portable clip on scent thingies from the Bath and Body Works outlets. They were only $1 and can be used in your car or closet or any other small space.

I got these awesome suede knee boots from a store called Cathy Jean. They had an AMAZING sale, but these were the only ones I could find in my size. From $150 to $50-woohoo!!!

Also at the Perimeter Mall I got this awesome modal v-neck tee for only $4 from NY & Co. This reminds me of the over-sized v-necks from American Apparel. It looks great worn regular or off the shoulder. This was the only color or else I would have snatched up a lot more!!

This navy BF cardigan from J. Crew I just fell in love with! I love the rosette detail on the shoulder. It was on clearance for $30 with another 30% off. I love outlets!!

Back at the outlets I only got two things- I was good (unlike my boyfriend lol). Jason bought me a black ruffle front tunic from Banana Republic. The mannequins showed it as a tunic, but it honestly fits me like a dress lol.

Skin Care Routine

It has taken me a long time to find a skin care routine that works for me. I think I have found one, at least for the summer while my skin is not super dry.

Note: I have dry, SUPER sensitive skin. I sometimes break out in my chin area and have acne scarring.

AM Routine:

Ladies and gentlemen this is as easy it gets!

I use The Body Shop's Cucumber Water ( a VERY gentle toner) on a cotton pad to wipe my face. After my face dries I apply Jergen's Daily Glow Facial Moisturizer in light. Honestly, this doesn't deposit any color on my skin anymore, but it's moisturizing enough for the summer and has a SPF in it.

PM Routine:

This is where the products really come into play!

Step 1: Remove all make up with Neutrogena Make up Removing wipes. If you belong to a wholesale club, stock up on these there. I got 120 of them for $15 from my local BJ's!

Step 2: I use a bar soap from Basin. Basin is a Lush like store. The only location I know of is in Downtown Disney at Disney World. For the store locator click here. Anywho, the bar I use is the Oatmeal bar for sensitive skin. I use it with either my fingers or my Body Shop facial flannel.

Step 3: I alternate my step 3. I either apply Mark's Break Out Plan anti-acne lotion to my chin area to prevent break outs or apply Trader Joe's Vitamin E Oil to my entire face to help fade acne scars. I alternate day to day with these. I will probably apply the oil every day when it starts to get colder out, but for now it's too greasy.

Step 4: Apply my night time moisturizer, Mark's See Things Clearly Brightening Moisturizer. Now, I do believe this moisturizer is meant for day time since it has light reflecting particles, but it doesn't have an SPF, so I use it at night.

Step 5: Only on the weekends or days where I don't put my make up on right away I apply Mederma to my acne scars.

I am currently in between eye creams right now and trying out a bunch of samples I have. I will be on the prowl for a new one soon!

Where's my exfoliator you ask? I use my Grandma's fave way to exfoliate- a damp, warm washcloth run over my face in small circular motions. For my sensitive skin, this works like a charm!

Jewelry Haul from Juli 2 months ago I stalked Juli's jewelry site, Jujubeads Jewelry, for like hours waiting for her to put some items on clearance. I ordered a few things and am FINALLY posting it.

If you haven't checked out her work yet, you should. The quality is equally as amazing as the price and creativity. Plus, it doesn't hurt that she is a total sweetie!

My order, minus a few earrings I ordered for love packs.

She also included a yummy lolipop, a red wine sheet mask and business cards to spread her gospel!

I adore this pearl necklace! It's mainly pearls with a couple of clear beads thrown in. It's the perfect length and rests just above my collarbone. It's very Jackie O!

My earrings I ordered- I think the pearl drops kind of match the necklace..small pearl beads and the clear beads seperating them. The other earrings are pearl and blue gem seperators. You know I had to get my blue and white for Penn State!

FTC Disclosure: All items were purchased by me and I have no affiliation with Jujubeads.

Deal of the Week- 8/9

Buy one pant at regular price, get one free at NY & Co! I kind of go through phases of liking and disliking New York & Company. I am currently on a like! I tried on a pair of their jeggings last week and loved it, but waited because everything in that store goes on sale! Now is the time to pick up a pair and a pair of work pants. I couldn't find an end date for this sale, so shop quickly because sizes do sell out in store!

Structure= Weight Loss?

Courtesy of Google Images

I heard on the news the other night, that people who lose weight are more likely to keep it off if they use a food diary. I've tried a food diary several times and I just got tired after a while. Some of my good friends are on weight watchers, and a big part of their success is tracking what they eat. It makes sense if you think about it. Knowing that you have to write what you eat, may help you eat less. Well, it didn't work for me.

I've gotten to the point where I like to plan ahead. I've begun using menu planners. I use a free printable template from Organized Home. Here is the link. It looks something like this.

Courtesy of Google Images

I find that when I have things planned out, I'm less likely to reach for something unhealthy. This may be anal of me, but it works for me.

I just started this plan and also writing my work outs into my planner. I'm a written type of person, making lists and such and I'm pretty anal about getting things done on my list so this helps me out.

Let's see if this works!!

Do you have any tips or tricks to weight loss, eating right or keeping organized? I'd love to know them!

July Faves!

Here are my July faves..a couple of days late again!

The Body Shop Cucumber Water (toner)

I have super sensitive skin and honestly washing it once a day is probably all that it could handle, but in these summer months I feel like I may be sweating in my sleep and don't want that sitting on my skin all day. So I use a cotton pad and a couple of drops of this on my face in the morning. It smells so fresh and summery, literally like cucumbers and feels very gentle.

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme

I have really dry cuticles and skin around my nail beds. This stuff is really great. It reminds me of the Burt's Bees chapsticks, kind of waxy. I don't really like the smell of this stuff, I'm not a citrus gal, but it keeps my nail beds moisturized.

Sephora Dual Pencil Sharpener

This little baby was only a couple of bucks. It works with standard pencil sizes and jumbo sizes like the NYX Jumbo Pencil. It also catches the shavings, which makes it perfect for on the go usage! It really works well with the NYX Jumbo Shadow Pencils.

Mark Just Pinched Instant Tint Blush in Cheeky

I love this little cream blush. It's a cute pinky color and I use this as a base and put a shadow blush on top of it. In the summer it really helps me to use a cream blush and layer a powder blush on top of it. This works really well with NYX Peachy.

The Body Shop Coconut Oil Hair Shine

Sense a Body Shop trend? lol. I LOOOVE this stuff. It's a solid kind of oil (if that makes sense) and I use the tiniest bit to keep my little baby hairs down and any fly-aways. I don't know if it necessarily adds shine, I'm too nervous to use it that much since it is an oil, but it really helps with taming my hair.

Little Metal Clippie Thingies

You love my name for this right? I honestly don't know what these are called, but I love them! My bangs are getting super long and I'm waiting to figure out what I want to do to my hair next before I go get a cut. I use these to kind of train my bangs back a bit to keep them out of my face. I put them in my bangs when they are damp and just randomly move them around so they don't leave a dent!

Have a happy August!
