Mini Weekend Haul

This weekend I had a tiny, mini haul. I got a fantastic deal on some NYC products from Rite Aid. It was BOGO free and then I had a $1 off coupon so I was able to get two waterproof liners and two glosses for $6! Not too bad for four products!!

Extreme Lip Glider Lipgloss in Carnegie Melon and Park Avenue Pink
Waterproof Eyeliners in Black and Teal

I also received my mini order from EleventhGorgeous. I just started watching EleventhGorgeous's videos on YouTube and I was introduced to their jewelry and accessories website. They have very cute and affordable accessories. I needed a watch for work and have wanted a white one for a while, so I ordered one from here and a very cute pair of earrings.

Large White Watch- $17.80
Turquoise Shell Disc Earrings- $2.80

It was bath time for Tyson!!

Review: Neutrogena's 3 in 1 Concealer for Eyes

Several weeks ago I purchased Neutrogena's 3 i n 1 concealer for eyes and their Healthy Skin foundation. I'm still testing out the foundation, but felt I was ready to do a review on this.

This concealer is a 3 in 1, because it conceals, acts as an eye cream and has spf 20. I got the lightest shade, Light, since I'm pale as a mutha.

First, let's start with some before and after photos. My disclaimer is that I only have slight under eye darkness and not much puffiness luckily.

Before applying concealer:

You can see some slight discoloration in the corner of my eye and OMG- I don't realize how freckly I am until I see a close up pic lol.

After concealer:

As you can see, the coverage is medium, not as intense as I would like it, but I really like the way it brightens up my eye area. So, I would think if you have dark discoloration under the eyes, this probably won't be the best product for you.

The thing that really annoys me about this product is that it is a bitch to spread! Normally I just like to tap and roll my concealer under my eye, but this I have to rub in a bit and I really don't like doing that.

I do notice that the cream in it does help add some moisture to my normally dry under eye area. The real test for the moisturizing qualities is the next couple of weeks when it starts getting colder out.

Overall, it's a decent concealer, but I probably won't repurchase since it's so difficult to apply.

Price: $8-$10
Availability: Drugstores, Target, Walmart, Drugstore.com
Will I repurchase: Probably not

So, I love watching the coverage of NYFW (New York Fashion Week). As a New Yorker, I never actually go downtown to invade the madness, but prefer to view it from afar. I love seeing the collections, what people wear to the shows and of course who gets to sit in the front row.

What I've really grown to love about NYFW though is QVC lol. QVC has seriously stepped up their fashion game, and this goes into overdrive during their fashion week sales.

This year they featured collections from:

-The Kardashians
-Marc Bower
-Pamela Dennis
...and tonight is Rachel Zoe!!!

I won't even lie, I so love Rachel Zoe. I subscribe to The Zoe Report, live by her book A to Zoe and of course, watch The Rachel Zoe Project. When I watch her styling, I know i can't afford a damn thing, so I'm glad she did a line of mainly accessories for QVC.

The prices ranged from about $25-$200. THe clothing is mostly outerwear and of course contains a lot of faux fur. The accessories include a lot of vintage inspired jewelry.

Here are some of my faves:

Faux Fur Vest with Hook and Eye Closure-$84

Would I ever have the guts to wear this? Probably not, but I would like to think I'd look bananas in it lol.

Covered Cabochon Goldtone Blosom Watch- $48

Yes ladies, this is a watch! I'm not a big watch person, but my classroom doesn't have a clock so I'm in desperate need of a watch! This one is so cute, because who would know it's a friggin watch?

Eternity Knit Scarf- $31

Last winter I became sort of addicted to eternity scarves (circular scarves), but I haven't tried a knit one yet! This is to die for and eternity scarves are s00o cozy!

I can't wait for Rachel to reveal her new line tomorrow, September 15th!
