Feeling the love!

For the second year in a row I participated in a Valentine's Beauty Gift Exchange. I received my package last week and as soon as I saw the handwriting, I knew it was my Iyah! Iyah has the neatest handwriting I've ever seen! As a teacher, I'm jealous lol.

My sweetie went overboard!

From L to R:

OPI Shatter Nail Polish- OMG I am so excited to try this out! I've seen this on tons of blogs lately, including Iyahs. I'm thinking of trying it with like a bright aqua underneath. Too much?

Mac Lady Gaga Viva Glam Lippie- Ok don't laugh, this is my first NEW Mac lippie. The only two Mac lippies I own I bought from my Tammy's blog sale. I'm so excited to play with this. I love, love the scents of Mac lippies.

Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush in Natural- I am REALLY psyched to try this out. I don't really know if I believe the mood boosting part, but I've seen swatches of this and really love the color and glow this gives.

I love u Iyah! Thank you so much for spoiling me!!!

Also, last week I received a belated birthday gift from my Tammy-ness. Tammy has been like an ego boost to me after my break up and this gift was no exception. I really appreciate it girl <3 <3 <3 <3

From top to bottom:

Hawaii Coconut lotion from BB&W- I remember she raved about this scent and I can totally see why! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
Three sheet masks ( Tammy has always been my sheet mask whore) MBD Bulgarian White Rose Mask, FaceQ Grape Seed and Green tea mask, MBD Yogurt Mask
Nars Lipgloss/Lip Stain Duo in Kisses/Pampa- My first Nars product! YAYA
Frog Prince Bath Bomb from Lush with a note "You gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince" I LOVE IT

I love you guys!!!!

Current Faves

These are the products that I have been loving and reaching for almost daily for the past month or so.

From L to R:

Coach Poppy Perfume- I got this for Christmas in a set with the lotion and rollerball. I HATED the original Coach fragrance, but I really adore this scent. I'm terrible at describing scents, so I'm not even going to try. The combination of the lotion and perfume makes it last all day.

Oscar Blandi Olio di Jasmine Serum- I received a sample of this from Sephora and my January Birchbox and this stuff is love! I apply only two tiny drops to my hair before blow drying and it makes my hair super shiny. It also protects it from heat styling.

Yankee Candle Coconut Bay Candle- As I write there there is an inch of ice coating every surface outside my window, so smelling this delicious summery scent is just very therapeutic. It smells like those coconut body sprays you use during the summer and it gives me hope that one day it will be nice out again lol.

Coach Poppy Lotion- Perfection with the perfume!

Benefit Boi-Ing Concealer and Eye Bright- I bought this from Ulta when I was visiting a friend in Maryland over the holidays. The concealer is very creamy and works well to cover my minimal dark undereye circles. I use the eye bright on the inner and outer corner of my eyes and it really makes my eyes pop when I'm wearing my dark glasses.

From L to R:

Conair Infiniti Curling Wand- This was a Christmas present from my Grandma and IT IS LOVE! This is the easiest iron to use and is so versatile. Use smaller pieces of hair towards the end and you get ringlets. Use bigger pieces towards the bottom and you get beach waves. There are so many looks you can do with this iron. I'm going to do a post soon of several different looks you can get with this iron. This is also what I used on my hair for my birthday.

InStyler Rotating Flat Iron- This was a Christmas present from my mom and I really like this. I know it gets a lot of bad reviews, but it works well for my thick, slightly wavy hair. It doesn't get my hair super straight but it gives my hair SO much movement that I really missed when I was using a flat iron. It also gives incredible volume. My only complaint is its not super smoothing. It gives my hair a lot of static, which can be partly because of the dry winter air, but I need to use a lot of smoothing serum on my hair after this.

Retail Therapy Mini Haul

So I had a crappy boy weekend, and nothing makes a gal feel better than a little retail therapy! I could have gone overboard with the spending, but one of my break up rules is to keep myself in check and I did. I also found some AMAZING sales.

The Limited

I really like The Limited, but I hardly ever shop there. It reminds me of a more chic New York & Company or a classier Express. I walked in and there was a final sale rack just beckoning to me. Unfortunately there weren't a lot of small sizes left so I only picked up a shirt and a belt.

I ADORE this shirt. It's a one shoulder Grecian style top. It has a built in bra that serves no purpose whatsoever to my boobs. It's hard to see the twist detailing of the shoulder and neckline. It's a really pretty berry color. The best part is the price. Regular price $30, marked down to $6! That's a deal my dolls.

I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this belt. I'm not a big sequin person, but I do love bows. This was too cute to pass up and can add some sparkle to an otherwise boring outfit. Regular price, $25, marked down to $7. Yes, the belt was more expensive than the shirt lol.

I don't have many "going out" shoes, because frankly when I was in a relationship I never really went out. Now that I'm on the prowl as my friends say, I need prowling footwear lol.

The pair on the left is from Mandees. I really love the distressed leather look and all the straps. THese were regularly $30 marked down to $10. They look like spring/summer shoes to me so I don't know why they were on clearance, but hey I will take it!

The pair on the right, the "shooties" (i love that word!) is from Charlotte Russe. They were also on clearance for $10. I haven't decided how to really wear these yet, but they were so cute, a nice heel height and a great price, so I couldn't pass them up!

Did this mini shopping trip make me feel better? You betcha lol.
