Hello all! I'd like to thank you so much for taking time out of your day to come visit my blog.  I started this blog over 8 years ago when I was introduced to the amazing world of beauty and fashion blogging. I instantly became addicted and was very excited to start a blog of my own.  I took a LOOOONG hiatus from this blog and even had a failed attempt at another blog in 2017.  I had missed having a creative outlet and decided to give this another go. 

I'm a big bargain shopper.  I love scouring the sales flyers, searching through discount racks and comparison shopping.  As I got more into beauty and fashion I realized that you don't have to spend a lot to look your best.  That's how Fabulously Thrifty came to be.

It IS possible to live the champagne life on a beer budget!

Now a little about me...My name is Melissa and I'm recently married and living in the suburbs of New York with my husband. 

  I'm a special education teacher and while it can be incredibly challenging, I thin it is the most rewarding profession in the world.

I'm a bit of a nerd- love reading and am currently attempting to be super crafty with the purchase of a Cricut machine.

I'm a huge girly girl in the sense that I love makeup, fashion and hair, but also a huge tomboy as I curse like a sailor and live and breathe by my sports (Let's Go Mets!We are Penn State!)  And of course..I'm a bargain hunter!
