Cape Cod Haulage

Last week I went to visit my Grandma in Cape Cod. I also love shopping in Cape Cod because of the tax free clothing in Massachusetts! I got some fab stuff and racked up the credit card points since I haven't gotten paid in quite a while!

I didn't take the pictures by where I bought them, which I should have, but oh wells. On the haulage pics!

Russian Painted Earrings- Gift from my cousin
Pearl Bow Necklace and Earring Set- $23 Bella of Cape Cod

Conair Flat Iron- CVS $8.37 (Well, $3.37 with extra bucks) I had to run out and snatch up this deal after reading Tammy's amazing post!

Melt Massage Bar in Lickin' the Beaters- $15 Melt Provincetown...I also read about Melt on Tammy's blog and I had to visit this delicious smelling store.

From top to bottom:

Hollywood Fashion Secrets Giveaway!

A little while back I posted about Hollywood Fashion Secrets doing a Facebook and Twitter giveaway. Now I'm lucky enough to be hosting my own giveaway for one lucky reader!

I received this gift bag also and lemme tell you girls, these are some awesome products, not to mention a completely cute tote and beach towel (even though I'm not a pink gal).

I received and the winner will receive:

*A pink, black and white summer tote
*A pink beach towel
*A collection of HFS Summer Essentials: Bra Clip, Garment Shields, Fashion Tape, Accessory Dots, Oil Blotting Tissues and Silicone CoverUps

These are all great products, but I have to say my faves are the bra converter clips and the fashion tape. The bra converter clips helps turn a regular bra into a racer back bra and might I add, boosts the girls quite nicely. The uses for the fashion tape are just endless! Every style book I've ever read said that Fashion Tape is a closet necessity.

Contest rules:

*Must be a subscriber
*Must be a US Citizen (sorry!)
*Leave me a comment telling me your favorite usage for fashion tape, or how you would use the fashion tape
*All comments must be left by September 30th.
*Get a bonus entry for retweeting this post (leave me your twitter name in comment)
*Good luck loves!

Fall Celeb Line Wishlist

Since I chose not to work over the summer, I put myself on a tight budget. Of course, I have been ITCHING to go shopping all summer, but I have shown restraint and have not gone clothes shopping. With work right around the corner, I have started charting my shopping course for my first paycheck. I'm really surprised that a lot of the celebrity lines at discount stores have been MAJORLY tempting me. Here's a looksie at some of the items I plan on purchasing:

Dream Out Loud by Selena Gomez at K-Mart

Open Front Knit Vest-$20

Skinny Cargo's-$5.99
Ok, these babies are on clearance and I may hafto order them now!

Solid Tank with Crochet Back-$3.59

Kardashian Kollection at Sears

Women's Mesh Side Cut Out Dress- $99

Ok..$99 is much more than I'd pay for any clothing item at Sears, but I expect these items to be on sale quite frequently.

Washington DC Black Shoe- $59.99

This bootie is not a shoe that I would typically be attracted to, but I really like the details on this and the shape.

Olsenboye from JC Penny (Olsen Twins Line)

Ruffle Dress- $27

Ruffle Front Jacket- $29.99

LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls

Rosette Chiffon Henley Set- $33

Pleated Floral Satin Dress- $24

Any fall must haves from these lines or any other celeb lines? I'm waiting for September 15th to go shopping!

Apothica Haulage

I was given a $50 gift card to Apothica.com and I was like a kid in a candy store! Apothica reminds me of a Sephora, Ulta and Skin Care store all wrapped into one. I like to get the most bang for my buck, so I'm really excited about how much I was able to get with just $50.

L: The Cargo Mediterranean Collection $34
R: 100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream $18

Eye Cream:

Let's start with the eye cream. $18 for a whopping 1 fl. oz. That's a pretty great price for eye cream. I've never heard of this brand before, but I have been trying to incorporate more organic products into my skin care routine, and this product received great reviews.

About the product from Apothica.com:
Anti-inflammatory, caffeine rich Green Tea and coffee reduce puffiness and reduce swelling while increasing circulation to alleviate and brighten dark circles. Concentrated with potent anti-aging vitamins and antioxidants.

I have slight dark circles and every now and then some puffiness, but most importantly, I'm 26 years old so it's definitely time for me to use an eye cream daily. I don't want to give a few review on this product until I use more of it, but expect one in a month or so.

Cargo is a brand that i have always been interested in trying. I find the best way to try out various products from a brand is to try out one of these value kits.

From top to bottom:
Swimmables Eye Pencil in Teal
Lip Gloss in Morocco
Better than waterproof Mascara
Blush in Mendocino
Eye Shadow Duo in ED-14

As soon as I received this product I fell in love with the pouch! I instantly switched it into my purse to use as my cosmetics bag. After fawning over the bag, I instantly fell in love with some of the products as well.

Eyeliner: I love, love, love the color of this liner. I've only used it once, but it really makes the blue in my eyes pop out and this baby doesn't smudge. It also doesn't smudge when I try to take it off lol. You need some heavy duty makeup remover to get this baby off.

Lipgloss: I adore, adore, adore this color. It's a really beautiful berry with gold sparkles. It really strikes me as an awesome summer color because it pops against a tan, but a great fall color to wear with warmer toned shadows. This is definitely my favorite product of the bunch.

Mascara: I haven't given this mascara a try yet. I find that I have super sensitive eyes, so I only use one mascara at a time so I don't waste product.

Blush: OMG- this is such a gorgeous color. This is the lipgloss equivalent of a blush. For pale skinned beauties, I would use a very light hand because this baby packs a punch.

Eyeshadow Duo: My ONE complaint. I can not get this damn thing open for the life of me. I've asked every man I know and a butter knife, and I can't get it open. I will contact Apothica.com about this, they have fab customer service.

All in all, I am really happy with my purchases and Apothica.com. If you are interested in trying out Cargo products, I would really recommend trying out this Mediterranean kit! The blush and mascara are full size and the other products will last me a while. It's a great buy for only $34.

FTC Disclosure: I was given a $50 gift card by Apothica.com to pick out products. I was not paid to do this post and I am not affiliated with Apothica.com. My opinions are my own and can not be bought.

Review: EOS Lip Balm

I swear, I must be one of the last people in the blogosphere to try EOS lip balms. I found them so difficult to find around here, and then within one week I literally had three of them. I bought one for myself and got two as gifts. I really enjoy these little cuties.

EOS Sphere Lip Balm info from Drugstore.com:

long lasting moisture
shea butter & vitamin E
smoothes on clear
95% organic
100% natural
USDA Organic
New smooth sphere precisely glides on to lips. Twist off top.

Not tested on animals. No animal by-products. Certified organic by VOF.

Made in USA

I love that these little babies are organic and aren't tested on animals.

I really like these little babies. The scents are so unique in lip balms and they leave my lips feeling smooth and moisturized. They are similar to the Burts Bees lip balms in that they don't feel super creamy, just a little waxy. These provide an amazing base for lipglosses and lipsticks.

*Awesome scents
*Organic and natural
*Not tested on animals
*Provides moisture without grease
*Great for a base for lipcolor
*Unique packaging

*I don't know how moisturizing these will be in the winter months
*A little bulky
*A little pricey for a plain ol' lip balm
*Can be difficult to find

These can be purchased at most drugstores, Target, Walmart and Drugstore.com for around $3-$5.

Any other must have flavor/scent recommendations?

WnW Mini Haulage

Hello lovelies. Last week Rite Aid was having a BOGO 50% off sale on all of their Wet and Wild products. On top of that sale, if you spent $10, you received $3 in UP+ Rewards Dollars. Since WnW is so cheap to begin with, this is an awesome deal. I ended up buying a few of the newer Color Icon trios that I've heard great things about but have yet to try.

Here's the haulage.

From L to R, top to bottom:
Color Icon trios in:
On Cloud 9
I'm Feeling Retro
Spoiled Brat

Color Icon Liner in:
Dark Blue

Megaslicks Lipgloss in Strawberry Ice

On Cloud 9

I'm Feeling Retro

Spoiled Brat

These were all swatched with out primer! How amazing is this pigmentation for only $2.99 each? And how often do you see a matte color, like the brown in On Cloud 9, in a drugstore palette? I have yet to wear these, but if they are anything like the previous Color Icon Trios I've purchased, they will be fast favorites.

Dark Blue Liner
White Liner
Lipgloss in Strawberry Ice

I bought the blue liner to use on my waterline in lieu of black liner when my eyes are a bit blah, and I bought the white liner to use on my inner rim on my bottom lash line to wake up my eyes. The lipgloss is pink and frosty and I guess that's just the New York girl in me lol.

If you haven't tried WnW products in a while, you are seriously missing out. They are quickly becoming my fave drugstore brand.
