My Cruelty Free Favorites So Far….Eyes Edition

A few days ago I posted about my favorite cruelty free face makeup products.  You can find that post by clicking here.

Today, it's all about the eyes baby!

Eyeshadow Palettes

In my opinion, Too Faced and Wet and Wild have some of the best palettes, cruelty free or non-cruelty free.  Try a palette from one of these brands and I promise, you will not be disappointed.

The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and the Wet and Wild Melrose at Night are just two of my favorite palettes by these amazing brands.

Single Shadows

I am obsessed with these Younique Moodstruck Mineral Pigments.  At first I was put off by the loose pigment game, but all it takes is one or times to practice and you're set.  The color range of Younique's pigments, as well as the fact that there are plenty of shimmer and matte options to choose from make these my cruelty free faves!

Cream Shadow Bases

Mally Beauty Evercolor Shadow Stick
Milani Shadow Eyez

I have a variety of cream shadow sticks from both of these brands and I absolutely love both of them!  I mainly use them as bases for my powder shadows, but they can also be worn alone or used for a smudgy liner look.

Wet and Wild Take on the Day Eyeshadow Primer

Another Wet and Wild favorite!  I must admit, I didn't have the highest expectations for this primer but it works just as well as my Too Faced Shadow Insurance and it's a fraction of the cost!  If you are looking for a good eyeshadow base I urge you to go to the drugstore and try this baby out!

The Younique Moodstruck 3d Fiber Lash Mascara has quickly become one of my favorites and is my absolute go to for anytime I'm going out for a quick drink or a night of dancing.  I will never have the need to learn how to use falsies thanks to this baby.

My Cruelty Free Favorites So Far…Face Edition

So it's no secret that I have been on a journey to go cruelty free.  Sometimes I feel I sound a bit preachy about it and also hypocritical since I do eat meat and animal products.  My thought process though is that an animal shouldn't suffer so my eyes could shimmer or my lips look glossy.

This lead to my journey to go cruelty free and it hasn't been as easy as I thought.  I thought I would find this big ol' list of cruelty free companies and just buy all of my products from them.  I didn't know that companies change their cruelty free status almost daily and that there are a lot more companies that test on animals that don't.

So my cruelty free lust list changes quite frequently.  I decided to do a series on my cruelty free favorites so far in a variety of categories.  My favorites are pretty limited brand wise as I haven't even scratched the surface of purchasing indie brands yet, but I'm pretty happy with where I am at now with my products.

If there is any discrepancy in whether a brand I mention is or isn't cruelty free, please comment and let me know!

Tinted Moisturizer/BB Cream: Physician's Formula CC+ Cream
Tammy sent me this CC cream for the first time and it's amazing.  The coverage is truly fantastic and the staying power is amazing.  It can be a bit tricky to apply at times as it tends to get brush marks, but I find applying it with my fingers or sponge leaves a beautiful finish.

Medium Coverage Foundation: Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Foundation
I got this foundation in a Josie Maran set and I really like it.  The coverage is a tad bit more than my CC cream, but it doesn't last as long during those hot summer months.  I like that this leaves my skin feeling nicer than before I put it on.

Full Coverage Foundation: Wet and Wild Coverall Foundation
I have had this foundation for a while and found that I didn't like the application of it with a brush.  However, when applied with my Real Techniques sponge it's perfect!  It layers beautifully and leaves great full coverage.  This is a great special event foundation.

Powder Foundation: Josie Maran Argan Matchmaker Powder Foundation
This came in the same set that my Josie Maran liquid foundation came in and I actually ended up using this product more.  This product is great when I'm having a great skin day and just need something to even everything out, but I use it more frequently to set my CC cream and the two together provides the most beautiful and natural looking coverage.

Powder: Mally Beauty Diamond Un-Powder
If I don't want to bump up the coverage of my CC cream with the above mentioned powder foundation, I use this.  This is a face powder with a slight tinge of yellow which really helps brighten things up.  It adds a subtle glow to the face for those mornings where your skin really lacks luster.

Finishing Powder: ELF High Definition Powder
This super affordable powder has lasted me forever and really helps blur things out when applied over all of my face makeup.  Oh, and can the price tag of $6 be beat? I don't think so.

Undereye Concealer: Physician's Formula All in 1 Super BB Concealer
At first I wasn't a big fan of this concealer, but the more I used it, the more I enjoyed it.  It doesn't cover all of my darkness, but it provides enough coverage and enough brightness to make sure my eyes look awake, especially under my glasses.

Concealer: Younique Mineral Touch Cream Foundation
I got this foundation over the summer and I didn't love the super thick cream consistency of it for all over my face.  However, when I began using it as a concealer I loved it!  It covers blemishes and the redness around my nose perfectly.

Bronzer, Blush and Highlighter

Bronzer: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
A beautiful bronzer that smells like chocolate?  Can it get any better?  This deep brown bronzer doesn't contain a trace of orange, but also doesn't look muddy at all.  It works with a light hand for my pale skin and a heavier hand for when I'm carrying a tan.

Blush: Any Wet and Wild Blushes
Wet and Wild blushes are not only a great product for the price, but a great product for any price.  They are incredibly pigmented and not powdery at all.  The color range is great and they can be found at any drugstore.  I absolutely love these blushes!

Highlighter: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Incandescent Light
This palette altogether is amazing, but the highlight color is just perfection.  It's not that stark white or yellow champagne, it's just the perfect angelic glow.  If you haven't tried one of the Ambient Lighting Powders I would highly suggest you check them out!

This concludes round one of my cruelty free favorites!

Are any of these products on your favorites list?

Fitness Friday: Bulu Box #3

So a few weeks ago I received what ended up being my last Bulu Box.  I bought a 3 month subscription on Living Social for a great price and while I was emailed by the company and offered a similar price for 3 months, I just didn't find it worth it.  The samples were too random for me.  If all boxes were like last months box, I would stick with it, but it appears most of them are very random like this one.

K Pax Energy Dietary Supplement
This claims to provide healthy energy, immune support and complete multivitamin.  I haven't tried this yet, as I am currently happy with my vitamin regimen, but if I ever feel too lazy or sleepy for work I may give this a try.

Probium Probiotics
This is a chewable probiotic for kids.  As I frequently have digestive issues and a probiotic is supposed to help with that, I will be using this.

Hemp Pro Vanilla Protein Powder
I have tried this protein powder before in a smoothie and I enjoyed it.  However, I never truly studied the nutritional facts.  This packet is half a serving size and contains 130 calories, which means a full serving is almost 300 calories.  That's just too high for me.

Smart Whole Grain Oatmeal Bar in Blueberry
I like getting snacks in these boxes, but unfortunately I am not a fan of blueberry.  I will be passing this on to a friend.

NuHair Rejuvinating and Styling Foam
This is definitely the most random of the bunch.  Why would a hair thickening mousse, sort of like a Rogaine, be included in a weight loss box?  Don't get me wrong, I will be trying it, but it just doesn't make any sense to me!

So as you can see, the Bulu Box is just a bit too random for my liking.

If you have any health/fitness/weight loss subscription service recommendations, please post below!

Fall Fashion Wishlist

Fall was in full swing this week with temperatures ranging in the high 60s and the leaves all turning beautiful colors.  Fall is my favorite season to dress for and this fall I have quite an extensive fashion wish list!

A Girly, Cutesy Flannel

I considered hopping on the flannel bandwagon last year, but never actually did.  As I see flannels become less grunge and more preppy I have decided to jump on the bandwagon.  I want to get one that first a little slouchier so I can tuck them into a pair of skinnies.

Anything Emerald

I own one emerald shirt and every time I wear it I get so many compliments and my eyes pop like no other.  Which led me to realize I need more emerald in my life!

Infinity Scarves

I love and live for scarves come fall, but I don't have enough cozy, cutesy infinity scarves.  I never even thought to look in the BP department of Nordstrom where 2 of these scarves came from.  I will definitely be paying my local Nordie's a visit!

More Express Jeans

I bought my first pair of Express jeans 2 weeks ago and IT WAS LOVE.  The size 2 short is my absolute, most perfect fitting size in denim.  Next time the $39.90 jean sale comes around, I am there!

Preppy Jacket

I love fall jackets, and this year I want to invest in a good one that will stand the test of time.

I am making this the season of the bootie, not booty.  I am making a goal for myself to go "out-out" more often and I'm not a heels girl unless it's a special occasion so I plan on making the bootie my official going out shoe.

So here are basically the main items I am lusting for this fall.

What items are on your fall fashion lust list?

September Random Favorites

Like mentioned in my last post, September has been an insane-o month for me.  Here were some random things that put a smile on my face for the month of September.

*Alex and Ani Cinderella Bracelet*
I'm not sure if this should count as a September favorite as I bought it just a few days ago when in Disney World, but it puts a massive smile on my face every time I look at it.  I have become quite Alex and Ani obsessed lately!

*Pill Organizer*
Since I am around quite a bit of germs I have become vitamin obsessed lately.  I now rely on vitamin C to keep me healthy and strong amongst a plethora of other vitamins.  Any vitamin recommendations to help boost my immune system further would be greatly appreciated.

*Kate Spade Wellesly Planner*
I bought this over the summer at the Kate Spade Outlet and it has been my savior when I began using it this past month.  I have so many appointments and to do lists and this is a chic way to keep myself sane.

*Yankee Candle Chocolate Layer Cake Candle*
My dad bought me this candle in TJ Maxx over the summer and I just began using it on the first day of fall (had to use my summer candles up until then!) and O.M.G. this is the most delicious and authentic smelling candle I have ever had the pleasure of smelling.  This is definitely a new obsession.

Ok my lovelies, any rando products you are loving lately? Comment below!
